Jalandhar: Punjab Police have captured four bouncers who professedly abused media persons covering the wedding occasions of Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh and his performing artist lady Geeta Basra, an authority said on Friday.
The case was enlisted after the resentful media persons organized a sit-in outside the gathering venue in Jalandhar city, 150 km from Chandigarh, requesting prompt capture of the four bouncers. The mandhandling professedly occurred late on Thursday evening.
“We have captured four bouncers. These incorporate Kuldip, Gurpreet, Navjot and Bawan,” a police authority told IANS here.
After the charged episode, Harbhajan left the house and apologized for the benefit of the bouncers. He begged media, for the most part camera persons of TV channels and picture takers of media distributions, not to seek after the matter further.
The media persons charged that the bouncers mauled them, and took away and broke their cameras and gear while they were taping occasions at the prominent wedding of off-spinner Harbhajan Singh with Bollywood performing artist Geeta Basra.
